It kicked off the tension between Callie and Arizona during their therapy. After going to several meetings, the couple had confronted each other about the areas of their relationship. It is essential to consider how Arizona cheated on Callie. Both of them committed the same mistake that overwrought their marriage.
Callie’s blood gone boiling after the therapist suggested about the treatment for their unsteady romance during the “Bend and Break”. She had make fun of it and called it insane. For her, taking a break would only go ahead of separation.

Still, Callie was not convinced. She always repeats her fears just for Arizona to give in the 30-day trial separation. Callie was in doubt towards her wife, when Arizona admitted that she wanted to have a six-month break. In that way, they could reestablish their relationship.

After that, the therapist explained how the “bend” would work: In 30 days, the woman will remain in the house living in a complete separate life. They will sleep in different rooms and they will avoid talking to each other, except for emergencies. They will also refrain from having sex or attending parties together.

After the 30-day trial, the two rejoined the therapist for a session. They discussed about how they can move forward since the “break” had justified.
