"How to Train Your Dragon 2" Review: Fared Beyond Expectations

"How to Train Your Dragon 2," directed by Dean DeBlois, was met with favorable response from the fans of adventures in the world of myths, amidst wild dragons and harsh Vikings.  Viewers revealed that the sequel is portrayed well than the first one.

It follows the saga of a Viking youngster named Hiccup, as he finds his place among his tribesmen whose perceptions are far different from his.  Raised in an environment of highly acclaimed dragon slayers, Hiccup's life had its turning point when he had his first dragon encounter.

K Drama Stars reported that the movie has become one of the 2014th highest grossing animation films, having earned approximately $5.6M in its premiere show in China and is said to have reached half a billion mark in ticket sales worldwide. It has already outranked "Rio 2" and the "LEGO Movie," both 2014 animated film releases.

In an interview with Fanlala, Bonnie Arnold, one of the production team of the movie, said that, "I think since there was a fan base of the movie, we really didn't want to disappoint. The great news is that we grouped a lot of great people from the first movie, and all of us support each other strengths and weaknesses. We work on these things for a long time, and for 'How to Train Your Dragon 2,' we were involved for about 4 years. We have a great crew, cast, composer, and sound designer, so we feel very fortunate that we great people on our team."

Taken from the book series by Cressida Cowell, "How to Train Your Dragon 2," is produced by Dream Works Animation and is a sequel to 2010 "How to Train Your Dragon."

In time for the holiday seasons, The Rock Father reported that 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment will release the film on Blu-ray+DVD+Digital Combo Pack. On Nov. 11, Digital downloads will allow fans to watch the film anytime they want to, not to mention other great features that goes with it.

With high performance rating and well enthralled audience, the last in the trilogy is expected to equal the first two releases. "How To Train your Dragon 3," slated in June 2017, has become one of the most awaited computer-animated fantasy film.
