Galaxy Tab 4 vs Asus Memo Pad 7 vs Dell Venue 8: Tablet Showdown Begins; Which is the Best Among the Rest?
If you think the technology battle is just for Apple and Samsung, you better think again. Though not as famous as the two top competing tech firms, there are a lot of companies that delivers the same high quality devices for the consumers. Just like Asus and Dell. They are the two admired laptop and tablet makers that have been in the scene for quite a while now.
To confirm its caliber, here is a comparison between the flagship tablets from Asus, Dell, and Samsung. First is the device made by the Korean tech giant that was released last April, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 (10.1). Next is Asus' flagship that was released last 2013, the Memo Pad 7. Last but not the least is the upcoming tablet from Dell, the Venue 8 7000. Slash Gear reported that the upcoming device is dubbed as the "most premium and oddest Android tablet" that will conquer the U.S. market soon.
Among the three tablets, Galaxy Tab 4 is the only device with phone functionality, as listed by Phone Arena. Samsung's device is also equipped with the latest operating system, Android Kitkat 4.4.2 TouchWiz UX UI while Memo Pad 7 is still equipped with Android Kitkat 4.2.1. Dell Venue 8's OS is still unknown until now.
GSM Arena also compared the three tablets, in terms of their display size and quality. In this area, Samsung is still superior with 10.1-inch display, followed by Dell's upcoming device at 8.4-inch and the smallest is the Asus' with 7.0-inch. In terms of screen resolution, Venue 8 is the best at 1600 x 2560 pixels at 359 ppi, followed by Memo Pad 7's 1280 x 800 resolution at 216 ppi, and Tab 4's 1280 x 800 pixels at 149 ppi.
The new flagship tablet from Dell is the best among the three in terms of camera quality. Its 8MP rear and 2MP front camera bested Tab 4's 5MP rear and 1.2MP front snapper and Memo Pad's 3MP main camera and 1.3MP front selfie camera.
All of the three tablets are equipped with quad-core processor but Dell Venue 8 has the biggest RAM at 2048MB followed by Memo Pad 7 with 1536MB and Tab 4's 1024MB. Up to now, Dell's new tablet has no released memory capacity yet, thus, among the three, Asus has the biggest built-in storage, 16 GB versus Samsung's 8GB. The three tablets, on the other hand, all have micro SD slot for memory expansion.
