Nigerian Techno Gospel Artist SimplyEbere Talks About Her Music
SIMPLYEBERE was born into a family endowed with talents. she herself has not failed to express these multi-talented nature in her. She believes that music is the best means of expression that's why she sings and writes songs. She is a humble and loving lady who can go the best length to make people happy. She loves God, nature, humanity, and herself.
She has just released her brand new single "Love of God." We are so honored to catch up with her for this Hallels' exclusive interview.
Hallels: You came from Nigeria. How long have you been in the US?
I have never be to the United States. I currently live in Nigeria
Hallels: Do you think your background (of coming from Nigeria) gives you a different perspective to music? If so, how?
No I don't think so. Music is a universal language. It has the same effect on everybody no matter where you are. Here in Nigeria, we may have different ways for expressing music, but I believe it's pretty much same everywhere.
Hallels: How would you describe your style of music? Which artists would you say influence your style of music?
The style of the music "Love of God" is Techno. James Fortune is one of those artistes that influence my music. His songs have content and fun. I do other style of music like R&B, hip hop, afro hip hop.
Hallels: You have a new single out called "Love of God." Tell us more about this song?
Well, this song was borne out of my reflectionon what God has done for me by giving me the greatest gift of all -Jesus Christ. The thought that a blameless God took away my sins and died in my place, without my effort, makes me ask "how could this be?" Sometimes it sounds insane. I can't die for any sin I didn't commit but Jesus did just that for me. I think that is enough for me to go crazy for him (laughs).
Hallels: Are you working on an album now? Will you be writing all the music yourself? when will it be released?
Yes currently I am working on an album. I am looking at launching it early 2016. I write all my music myself. This inspiration comes and the next thing I go for is my recorder, a pen and a paper.
Hallels: Besides writing for yourself, have you written for other artists too? Do you plan on writing for others too?
I have not written for other artists because here, music writing and sales is not much of a transaction here. I have some songs that I wis I could sell. I plan on writing for others too.
Hallels: For our readers who would like to purchase your new single or/and find out more about you, where can they go?
