Lauren Daigle Set to Perform at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards
Christian singer and songwriter Lauren Daigle is set to perform at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards, coming up Wednesday, May 1, on NBC. This will be Daigle's first time performing at the prestigous event. Kelly Clarkson, Khalid, Panic! at the Disco, Sam Smith and Normaniwill will also take the stage to perform their hits.
Additionally, Daigle is up for ithree nominations. She will compete in the Top Christian Artist, Top Christian Album and Top Christian Song categories. Artists Cory Asbury, For King & Country, Hillsong Worship, MercyMe, Hillsong Worship, Zach Williams and Tauren Wells are also in those categories.
Daigle's "Look Up Child" album debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Top 200 last September. She has also won two Grammy Awards - Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for "You Say" and Best Contemporary Christian Music Album for "Look Up Child" - at this year's ceremony in February.
