Desola Unveils 'The River' Video From 'Intimacy' Album
Desola, an inspirational singer, songwriter, music artist and a worship leader, has released 'The River', the third single from her award winning newly released second album 'Intimacy'. The song is about the yearning of the needy heart seeking a greater peace in the River of Life (Jesus). The single's new video was shot in the picturesque location of Dover Cliff in Kent, England, and follows Desola's previous videos 'Jesus Save Me' and 'May Your Kingdom Come'.
The MOBO featured artist originally born into a non-religious home always felt that there was something unique about music that touches the heart. This feeling no doubt had a massive impact in her life as a teenager and the desire to sing continued when she came to the UK. Having sang with music groups and church choirs, it was only a few years ago that she yielded to the unrelenting call into the music industry. It was at this point that a desire to become an inspirational artist with a message was then birthed.
Her life was filled with stories that are a mix of tears and laughter which describes the challenges and victories that she has been through. With this, she keeps her head above water by singing her heart out. The songs she puts together to inspire her, are contained in her debut album which has in many ways recorded testimonies from fans around the world and have received a number of nominations and won standout awards in the UK.
"The first inspiration comes when God spoke in songs on doing His will to fly high above any troubled waters". This is a revelation God brought to her on desiring a wing like a dove and to fly away from all the struggles to a place to of rest.
Desola's eclectic musical taste which cuts across neo-soul and jazz to RnB and traditional gospel are reflected in her songs, and her song writing is touching and heartfelt. She has a natural ability to connect with the listener ensuring that the message of hope and faith is not compromised but is presented in a creative and melodious way.
