Discovery House Publishers Rebrands as Our Daily Bread Publishing
Discovery House Publishers, a division of Our Daily Bread Ministries, is starting the new decade with a new name, officially rebranding as Our Daily Bread Publishing. The Christian book publisher is home to bestselling titles such as My Utmost for His Highest, God Hears Her and Stand Strong, as well as popular inspirational authors such as Oswald Chambers, Charles Spurgeon, Bill Crowder, Jan Spivey Gilchrist, Daniel Ryan Day, Elisa Morgan and many more.
Founded in 1938, the ministry has grown from a small group of dedicated radio listeners to millions of people around the world who use their vast Bible-based resources, including the beloved Our Daily Bread devotional.
"With rapid-fire change in the Christian book industry, Discovery House and Our Daily Bread Ministries have been working on how best to position our publishing efforts moving forward," says publisher Ken Petersen. "The ministry has been bringing its many diverse efforts into focus under the widely recognized name of Our Daily Bread. The time now seems right to strategically fold Discovery House into that family as well. We believe the trusted Our Daily Bread name will benefit our presence in the marketplace and the sale and distribution of our books."
While the transition will take about six months to complete, any book releasing after December 31, 2019, will bear the Our Daily Bread Publishing name.
"As we serve the spiritual needs of readers in North America and around the world, our mission remains the same-to feed the soul with the Word of God," says Petersen. "And that fits beautifully within the ministry's larger goal of making the life-changing wisdom of the Bible understandable and accessible to all."
