Single Ladies Season 4: It's Not Over Yet For Queen Latifah-Produced Smashing Drama Series

For those who love this smashing drama series it was sad to hear that VHI had cancelled it after having 3 successful series over the years. The network said that it would end its hit drama series "Single Ladies" a production by Queen Latifah's Flavor Unit Entertainment. The series featured LisaRaye McCoy, Denise Vasi, Charity Shea, D.B. Woodside, Travis Winfrey, and Terrell Tilford. Its third season had LeToya Luckett, Damien Dante Wayans and Lesley-Ann Brandt featured that saw it stronger and crazier than ever. Which makes me wonder why VHI cancelled the hit series.

Well the good news is this smashing series got another chance to fight another day buy getting another season on BET- owned network Centric. The renewal is part of a new deal between Queen Latifah's Flavor Unit Entertainment which produces "Single Ladies" and the BET network. The Los Angeles Times reported that BET Centric had picked up the series for its fourth season and that Flavor Unit was working on new episodes for Centric as part of a new deal with the network.

According to the L.A Times "Single Ladies" came as a package deal. Flavor Unit will create other original shows for Centric and the network in return will air reruns of "The Queen Latifah Show" in prime time.

This season premiere episode had drawn 2.6 million viewers and had a 1.74 rating which was up to a flabbergasting +51% from the series' season 2 figures. The ongoing season has been averaging 2.2 million viewers in total. With such ratings I understand why BET would want to air this hit series.

Its premiere date has not yet been announced nor whether any new episode will appear on BET at this time. All in all it is great to hear that it will be getting another season for us to anticipate about.
