Rhythm and blues and gospel singer Mavis Staples announces ‘One True Vine’
American rhythm and blues and gospel singer Mavis Staples announced the release of her new project One True Vine produced by Jeff Tweedy.
Previously Staples and Tweedy collaborated on Staples' release You Are Not Alone which came out in 2010 containing 13 tracks.
Mavis Staples announced that new project One True Vine will release on June 25, on ANTI- Records. Jeff Tweedy and his son Spencer played nearly every instrument on the new album.
Expected new project of Staples also contains renditions of Funkadelic's "Can You Get to That,” and Low's "Holy Ghost.”
