Killing Floor 2 will be the successor to the ridiculously fun and successful original title, which was released in 2009. The sequel is set in the Europe continent following the outbreak caused by Horzine Biotech's failed experiment. Just one month after the events of the Original Killing Floor, civilization has been brought by the specimen clones, and the only hope left is a group of civilians and mercenaries. The player is required to track outbreakers and travel to hot zones to combat them.
PC Gamer has done several new features to the Killing Floor 2 and we have learnt that ZED Time has been made more badass. Not only does it slow down time, it goes noir mode, sim-city style to make things better. The gunplay has improved very well; PC Gamer notes that Tripwire researched a lot on ballistics and usage of real world weapons to make sure that Killing Floor 2 guns are as realistic as possible as they still remain to be the fun factor in the game. More monsters have been added to the game which makes it more interesting.
It is anticipated that the Killing Floor 2 release date is on March 2015 but Tripwire interactive informed us that they are working on the game to see whether they can make it to release the game earlier than the set date. It is also reported that the game would work on steam OS and that compatibility for steam controllers are being worked on.
