Mark Fonseca Releases New Single "More Of You"
Singer-songwriter/producer Mark Fonseca is back but this time with "More Of You", a timely anthemic worship song. This song steps out of Mark's ongoing EP "Old West Legend" and stands on its own as his first congregational worship song.
"It's a cry for God to fill and overflow us with the Holy Spirit so that we as ambassadors for Christ Jesus can reach a lost and broken world," shares Mark Fonseca. "We want to see miracles happen, strongholds broken, the church arising, and the lost believing. To look more like heaven to the city we live in."
"More Of You" started as a simple melody played by Mark on the keys in a worship band practice at Lighthouse Church in Newbury Park California. Worship Pastor Dylan Reynolds uttered the words "More of You" over the melody. It was then developed by Mark into a full song. It was finally completed when he teamed up with Kierstan Lewis to perfect the bridge, and David Villalpando added his tasty 80s/Sigur Ros style guitars.
"My wife really encouraged me to finish this song," Mark Fonseca says. "Then there was the support from Pastor Kevin and Kali Lewis, and Shady & Nicole Henry (From Lighthouse Church Newbury Park). Kevin got a hold of the song and was so moved by it that he wanted the band to lead it on a Sunday."
Mark and the team lead the song on Palm Sunday and are planning to release a live version soon.
Mark has worked with Andrew Osenga(The Normals, Caedmon's Call), Nathan Walters(Plus One), Tommy Coster Jr.(Santana), Samuel Knaak(Tyrone Wells), John Coggins(Future Royalty) and many others.
His music has been featured on "CHICAGO FIRE", "DANCING WITH THE STARS", "THE VOICE", "KELLY CLARKSON SHOW", "THE TITAN GAMES", and commercial ads such as PELOTON, and ABC NEWS.
