The word is out that the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 smartphone will be launched sometime in September 2014, after alleged images have been seen online.
The Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 is one of the most sought-after smartphones to be released this year, along with Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy S5.
Challenging phablets from competitors such as Lenovo and Huawei, the Samsung Galaxy Mega series has been well received for delivering excellent specs at an affordable price.
The Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 will reportedly have a 5.9-inch screen with a 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, ideal for viewing photos and videos. This is somewhere in the middle of two earlier models - the 5.8-inch and 6.3-inch versions.
However, leaked images indicate that the screen may go up to 7 inches.
What's more, it will also have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, Adreno 306 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage, Android 4.4.3 Kitkat OS (most likely to be upgraded to the Android L OS), a 12 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front facing camera, full HD video, a microSD card slot, Wi-Fi support, Bluetooth, GPS, light and proximity sensors, and NFC.
