After Angelina Jolie's successful directorial debut "In the Land of Blood and Honey", the soon to be Mrs. Brad Pitt, is finishing up her 2nd film as a director with the movie "Unbroken".

Unbroken is an upcoming war film based on the non-fiction book by Laura Hillenbrand, "Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience and Redemption".

The story revolves around the experiences of Louie Zamperini, as played by Jack O'Connell. Zamperini is a former Olympic track star, who survives a plane crash in the Pacific and spends 47 days drifting on a raft and another two and a half years living in several Japanese Prisoner of War Camps.

Among those in the cast are Miyavi, Garrett Hedlund, Jai Courtney, Domhnall Gleeson, Finn Wittrock, Alex Russell, Luke Treadaway, Jordan Patrick Smith and John Magaro. The film is produced by Angie herself along with Matthew Baer, Erwin Stoff and Clayton Townsend. Screenplay by the Coen brothers, Joel and Ethan, with Richard LaGravenese and William Nicholson.

Jolie's previous film as a director was met with mixed reviews among critics. Not bad for a first timer! This time around, we are hoping that critics will acknowledge her not only as an actor but also as someone who can work very well behind the camera. Angie is set to reprise her role as Master Tigress for the successful Kung Fu Panda franchise, scheduled for release by 2015.

Unbroken is scheduled for release Christmas Day 2014.
