Hulk Hogan Death Hoax: Twitter Rumor Goes Viral after RIPHulkHogan Page Facebook Page was Created

Recently twitter worked itself into frenzy when rumors of Hulk Hogans's death went viral. The hashtag, #RIPHulkHogan went viral after someone started a RIPHulkHogan page on Facebook. The page read, 'At about 11 a.m. ET on Saturday (August 02, 2014), our beloved actor Hulk Hogan passed away. Hulk Hogan was born on August 11, 1953 in Augusta. He will be missed but not forgotten.' However, none of this is true, Hulk Hogan is alive and well at least if you consider that he has been active on Twitter for the past couple of days, so unless his fingers and phone did not get the memo that he passed, or he is tweeting from the grave, I do not think that the rumors are true.

Furthermore, there are no official statements issued about the hoax being true, which is standard for such situations, making him part of the growing list of celebrities that have allegedly died one time or another. For example, there was that rumor that Will Smith died in a snowboarding accident as well as Eddy Murphy recently. Hulk Hogan was also recently in the news stating that he ended the engagement between his daughter and Phil Costa for personal reasons apparently, he was not amused by the guy and something about NFL Superstar Phil Costa did not sit right with him. He told popular radio station 105.3 The Fan, that Phil was someone that did not walk the walk, or talk the talk according to him, and there was no way that Brooke was going to marry someone that he did not like.

Back to the hoax, there were mixed reactions about it on Twitter and some accepted it, and poured their condolences for the allegedly fallen star. Others were not amused by the warped sense of humor behind the hoax saying, '"You #RIPHulkHogan jerks scared me so bad. Stop doing that! Let's go back to #RIPBieber or something else universally hoped for," as confirmed by one avid fan of Hulk Hogan.
