Bishop Thomas Tyrone Tribbett, Father of Gospel Artist Tye Tribbett, Passes Away

Bishop Thomas Tyrone Tribbett, beloved spiritual leader and father of Grammy-winning gospel artist Tye Tribbett, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 21, 2025. He was a revered figure in both his local church and broader faith community, remembered for his decades of faithful service, wise counsel, and compassionate leadership.
Bishop Tribbett faithfully served as Senior Pastor of El Bethel Apostolic Church in Camden, New Jersey, where he shepherded countless individuals with conviction, care, and a heart for the gospel. His leadership style was marked by humility, integrity, and a deep love for people. Under his guidance, the church became a haven of healing and restoration for many.
A devoted husband and father, Bishop Tribbett raised five children alongside his wife, Neicy Tribbett. Among them is Tye Tribbett, an internationally acclaimed gospel artist whose musical calling was shaped by the spiritual foundation and example set by his father. Bishop Tribbett was known for his unwavering support of his children's gifts, always encouraging them to walk boldly in their divine purpose.
