The upcoming faith-based film I Can Only Imagine 2 is preparing to arrive in theaters later this winter, with early access screenings scheduled ahead of its nationwide release.

According to official promotional information, I Can Only Imagine 2 will hold early access screenings on February 14, giving audiences an opportunity to see the film before its wide theatrical debut. The movie is set to open in theaters nationwide on February 20, 2026.

The sequel continues the story inspired by the life of MercyMe frontman Bart Millard, following the events depicted in the original 2018 film. While the first movie focused on the creation of the iconic song "I Can Only Imagine" and themes of forgiveness and reconciliation, the follow-up explores new challenges tied to faith, family, and life after success.

John Michael Finley reprises his role as Bart Millard, joined by a returning and expanded cast. The film is produced by Kingdom Story Company, known for its work on several recent faith-based films, and continues its partnership with Lionsgate for theatrical distribution.

Early access screenings are being promoted as special events, particularly for church groups and fans of the original film. Some locations may feature exclusive content, though details may vary by theater. Moviegoers are encouraged to check local listings for availability.

The original I Can Only Imagine became one of the most successful faith-based films in box office history, and anticipation for the sequel has continued to build as its release date approaches. Additional updates regarding screenings and promotional events are expected in the coming weeks.
