“Sarah’s Oil,” “House of David,” and “The Last Rodeo” Among Top Winners at 33rd Annual Movieguide Faith & Values Awards

The 33rd Annual Movieguide Faith & Values Awards aired on Great American Family and GFAM+, celebrating some of the year's most inspirational films and television programs that promote faith, hope, and family values across the entertainment industry.

The black-tie ceremony, hosted by Cameron Mathison, took place at the Avalon Theater in Hollywood, California. The event honored filmmakers, actors, and creators whose work reflects uplifting storytelling rooted in faith and positive values. The awards gala is now available to stream on Great American Pure Flix.

Among the evening's most recognized projects were Sarah's Oil, House of David, and The Last Rodeo, each earning major honors during the ceremony. The Last Rodeo won Best Movie for Families, while Sarah's Oil received Best Movie for Mature Audiences. The television series House of David also received significant recognition, winning the Faith & Freedom Award for Television for Episode 208, "The Truth Revealed."

Actor Mykelti Williamson received the Grace Award for Movies Actor for his performance in The Last Rodeo, while Naya Desir-Johnson earned the Grace Award for Movies Actress for her role in Sarah's Oil. In television, Michael Iskander received the Grace Award for Television Actor for his performance in House of David.

The Epiphany Prize for Inspiring Movies was awarded to The Chosen: Last Supper - Part 2, part of the global faith-based series The Chosen. Cast members including Paras Patel joined others on stage to accept the honor and thank fans for supporting the series.

Additional winners included Timeless Tidings of Joy, which was named Best Television Program for Families, and Ruth & Boaz, which received Best Television Program for Mature Audiences. In children's categories, Light of the World won Best Movie for Children, while Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw took home the award for Best Television/Streaming Program for Children.

The evening also recognized industry leadership with the Visionary Award for Furthering Entertainment with Faith & Values presented to Ted Baehr for his decades-long commitment to promoting uplifting entertainment.

The ceremony featured musical performances by Australian singer-songwriter Paul Greene, who performed his single "The Stone," and GRAMMY-nominated vocalist Jordin Sparks, who delivered a stirring performance of the Diane Warren hit "How Do I Live."

Notable presenters and guests included Candace Cameron Bure and her daughter Natasha Bure. Natasha Bure later won the Grace Award for Television Actress for her performance in Timeless Tidings of Joy.

The gala concluded with a closing prayer led by Mykelti Williamson, celebrating the impact of faith-driven storytelling across film and television.
