Country duo Wilson Fairchild are celebrating the timeless music that influenced their upbringing with their upcoming album and DVD American Songbook: Country Classics and Gospel Favorites, available April 24 through Gaither Music Group.
Comprised of cousins Wil Reid and Langdon Reid, the duo grew up immersed in music thanks to their legendary fathers, Harold Reid and Don Reid of the iconic The Statler Brothers. Their new project reflects the soundtrack of those formative years, blending country, gospel and American roots classics.
The album's lead single, a spirited rendition of "I Saw the Light," originally written by Hank Williams, is available now as the duo opens pre-orders for the full project.
"With American Songbook, we wanted to revisit the songs that were part of our everyday life growing up," Wil Reid shared. "We didn't discover them later-we heard them in the house, on the bus and backstage at shows."
The collection features new performances of beloved classics including "Amazing Grace," "Lean on Me," "Always on My Mind," "Blue Moon of Kentucky," "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and "God Bless America," reflecting the duo's deep musical roots in both country storytelling and gospel tradition.
Filmed live at The Mulehouse in Columbia, Tennessee, the project will also be released as a concert-style DVD and television special airing on networks including TBN, RFD-TV and The Word Network. A companion radio special will premiere on SiriusXM's enLighten channel, further introducing the project to audiences across the country.
The recording includes a particularly meaningful moment when the duo's sons, Jack and Davis Reid, join them on The Statler Brothers classic "I'll Go to My Grave Loving You," highlighting the continuation of a multi-generational harmony tradition.
Produced by Michael Sykes and Johnny Minick, American Songbook: Country Classics and Gospel Favorites blends country, gospel, folk and early rock influences while honoring the artists and songs that helped shape Wilson Fairchild's musical identity.
Before launching their own recording career, Wilson Fairchild spent several years touring with country legend George Jones and later released projects such as Songs Our Dads Wrote and Statler Made, celebrating the songwriting legacy of the Statler Brothers. With American Songbook, the duo expands that legacy to include the broader American musical canon that influenced their lives and careers.
The upcoming release will be available as an album, DVD and television special, continuing the duo's mission to preserve and celebrate the enduring heritage of country and gospel music for new generations.
