Josh Groban Announces New Album CINEMATIC, Releases First Single “Can You Feel the Love Tonight”

Multi-platinum vocalist Josh Groban has announced the release of his new album CINEMATIC, arriving May 8 via Reprise Records. The project celebrates some of the most iconic songs ever featured in film, with Groban reimagining beloved cinematic classics through sweeping orchestral arrangements and his unmistakable voice. The album is produced by acclaimed songwriter and producer Greg Wells, who has collaborated with Groban on several previous projects.

Groban described CINEMATIC as a deeply personal tribute to the music of film that shaped his musical imagination. Drawing inspiration from classic Hollywood moments and modern movie soundtracks alike, the album revisits songs that have long resonated with audiences around the world.

"This project is very close to my heart," Groban shared with fans while announcing the album. "It features some of my favorite iconic songs from movies that have inspired me over the years."

The first single from the album, "Can You Feel the Love Tonight," is available now. The song was originally written by Elton John and Tim Rice for the Disney classic The Lion King. Groban's new version features the powerful voices of the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles, bringing a grand choral dimension to the beloved ballad.

CINEMATIC also features several notable collaborations. Award-winning vocalist Jennifer Hudson joins Groban for a stirring duet on the timeless classic "Unchained Melody." Another special moment comes on "Moon River," which features Groban's brother Jack Groban, adding a personal family connection to the record.
