A new biblical drama, The Faithful: Women of the Bible, is set to bring the stories of Genesis to the screen, offering a fresh perspective on some of Scripture's most influential figures by focusing on the lives of the women who shaped the biblical narrative.

Produced by FOX Entertainment Studios, the limited event series tells the interconnected stories of Sarah, Hagar, Rebekah, Leah, and Rachel, highlighting their struggles, faith journeys, and the family dynamics that influenced the unfolding story of Israel. Rather than centering solely on the patriarchs, the drama places these women at the heart of the narrative, exploring how their decisions and relationships helped shape the covenant story of the Bible.

The series features an acclaimed cast led by Minnie Driver as Sarah and Jeffrey Donovan as Abraham. The ensemble also includes Natacha Karam as Hagar, Alexa Davalos as Rebekah, Millie Brady as Leah, and Blu Hunt as Rachel.

Filmed on location in Rome and Matera, Italy, the production recreates the ancient world of Genesis while presenting the stories in a cinematic, character-driven format. The series aims to portray the biblical figures as real people navigating faith, doubt, family tension, and divine promise.

The Faithful: Women of the Bible will premiere March 22, 2026, airing across three consecutive Sundays as a special television event leading up to Easter. Each installment will explore a different chapter of the Genesis narrative, tracing how the lives of these women intersect with the broader biblical story.

The drama seeks to offer viewers a deeper understanding of the emotional and spiritual journeys behind familiar biblical accounts, highlighting themes of faith, resilience, and God's unfolding plan through generations.
