Morgan Wallen went quiet for months. No shows. No social media. Just his son, the woods, and a recording studio. Now he's back - and he says new music is almost ready to share.
Here is everything happening with country music's biggest name right now.
"Hibernation" Was Actually Productive
After wrapping his massive I'm The Problem stadium tour last September, Wallen essentially disappeared from public life. Then this week, he resurfaced on Instagram with a photo dump captioned: "I guess it's about time I come out of hibernation for a bit."
When SiriusXM host Cody Alan asked what he had been doing during his time away, Wallen clarified that hibernation probably was not the right word. He spent the time hanging out with his son, making music, and that is about it.
The photos told the story. Studio shots. Pre-tour prep. A man quietly building what comes next.
New Music Sneak Peeks Are Coming Soon
This is the part fans have been waiting for. Speaking with Alan at the SiriusXM launch show on April 2, Wallen said he is still in the early stages of new music - but noted he is currently sitting on seven or eight singles from I'm The Problem, which means that album cycle is likely nearing its end. His exact words: "I'm at a place to where I'll start showing little sneak peeks soon."
He also shared photos from inside the studio during his Instagram return, including one that showed him visibly sweating through a recording session - which tells you this is not casual. He is working.
Whether it is a deluxe edition of I'm The Problem or a full fifth studio album, something is clearly in motion.
Morgan Wallen Radio Launches April 7
Before any new music drops, fans get something else: their own dedicated station. Wallen played an intimate 16-song set at The Pinnacle in Nashville to celebrate the launch of his new SiriusXM channel, Morgan Wallen Radio, which officially launches April 7 on channel 64. He even brought out Ella Langley for a surprise duet on his 2021 hit "Sand In My Boots" - their first-ever live performance together.
When Alan told Wallen they would play his upcoming new music on the station the moment it drops, Wallen replied simply: "I'm definitely going to play that."
Mark your calendars.
The Biggest Country Tour of 2026 Starts Next Week
The show must go on - and for Wallen, it goes on in stadiums. His Still The Problem Tour kicks off April 10 with two consecutive nights at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, then rolls through 23 dates including stops at four major college football stadiums - Clemson's Memorial Stadium, Florida's Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, Michigan's Michigan Stadium, and Alabama's Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
A rotating lineup of guests joins him on the road, including Brooks & Dunn, HARDY, Ella Langley, and Thomas Rhett. Wallen also donates a portion of every ticket sold to his Morgan Wallen Foundation, which supports programs for youth in sports and music.
Why This Matters Beyond Country Music
Wallen is now RIAA's highest-certified country artist of all time - with 21 No. 1 singles at country radio, 19 Billboard Music Awards, and more than 225 weeks spent atop Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, the most in country music history.
His friendship with worship artists like Brandon Lake - whose Hard Fought Hallelujah collab with Jelly Roll crossed over into both country and Christian audiences - is a reminder that the lines between country and faith-based music have never been thinner. Wallen's audience is massive, his reach is broad, and whatever comes next will land far beyond Nashville.
New music. A new radio channel. The biggest tour of his career. Morgan Wallen is wide awake.
Tune into Morgan Wallen Radio on SiriusXM Channel 64 starting April 7. Tickets for the Still The Problem Tour are available now at morganwallen.com.
