Worship artist Jon Reddick is opening up about a deeply personal season of grief, asking for continued prayer following the loss of his younger brother, Samuel "Sam" Reddick, who passed away unexpectedly on April 2, 2026.
In a message shared with fans, Reddick expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support his family has received in recent weeks. "Thank you to everyone who has been praying for our family. We feel it, and we're so grateful," he wrote. "The last few weeks have been heavy, and I'm still learning how to carry the loss of my younger brother Sam."
At this time, the cause of death has not been publicly disclosed, and his age has not been officially reported, reflecting the family's desire for privacy during this difficult period.
The singer acknowledged the ongoing weight of grief, asking supporters to continue lifting his family in prayer as they adjust to life without him. Despite the pain, Reddick emphasized that his faith remains his anchor.
"In the middle of all the pain, we're holding tightly to our faith," he shared. "God's Word and the songs that He gives us have such a true meaning to me during this grief. Through it all, we still, and always will, look to our King. He is our only hope for today, for tomorrow, and forever."
Due to the loss, Reddick was unable to appear at a recent stop on the Hope Nights Tour in Greenville, Texas, where fellow artists Danny Gokey and We Are Messengers led the evening.
"I'm sorry to have missed the show last night," he added. "I know that my dear friends led a beautiful night. Thank you for understanding during this time."
Reddick closed his message with a note of love and appreciation for his supporters, reflecting both the pain of loss and the sustaining power of faith in the midst of it.
