Global superstars BTS have officially returned to the United States - and their first stop proved the wait was worth it. On Saturday (April 25), BTS took the stage in Tampa in front of a roaring crowd of 60,000 fans, marking their first full-group U.S. concert since April 2022. The show is part of their sprawling ARIRANG world tour, which launched April 9 at Goyang Stadium in Seoul and spans 85 dates across 34 cities.
The Tampa setlist delivered a powerful blend of past and present, opening with new material from their chart-topping album ARIRANG - including the No. 1 hit "SWIM" - before moving into a string of global fan favorites such as "ON," "Fire," "Dope," and "Fake Love." The group also showcased performance-heavy tracks like "Black Swan" and "Blood Sweat & Tears," alongside unit stages that highlighted their individual artistry.
One of the night's defining moments came during their explosive performance of MIC Drop, as the entire stadium erupted into the now-iconic "MIANHAE EOMMA!" chant - a thunderous reminder of BTS' global rise and enduring cultural impact. The energy carried through to the finale with crowd-pleasers like "Idol" and "Dynamite," before an emotional encore featuring "Spring Day," "Butter," and "Permission to Dance."
The ARIRANG tour supports BTS' tenth studio album - their first release since completing mandatory military service - which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and has already produced a No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100. The project signals a new chapter for the group, blending their signature sound with a renewed creative vision.
Beyond the music, the Tampa show was a full-scale production spectacle, featuring towering LED screens, extended stage runways, pyrotechnics, and cinematic interludes. Fans transformed the venue into a sea of synchronized purple lights, creating an atmosphere that felt both celebratory and deeply emotional.
For many, the night marked more than just a concert - it was a reunion. And if Tampa is any indication, BTS' return is not simply a comeback, but a reassertion of their place at the very top of the global music landscape.
