A new faith-based cinematic event centered on spiritual renewal, reconciliation, and the power of the Holy Spirit is coming to theatres nationwide this May. Fathom Entertainment will present That They May Be One for a special nationwide theatrical event on May 19 and 20, bringing audiences a stirring exploration of Christian unity inspired by Jesus' prayer in John 17: "That they may all be one."
Blending documentary storytelling, dramatic reenactments, and conversations with respected Christian leaders from multiple traditions, the film examines how the Holy Spirit continues to move across denominational boundaries in unexpected and transformative ways.
The project features appearances from Francis Chan, Fr. Mathias Thelen, Pastor James Ward, and Dr. Mary Healy, who also serves as a producer on the film.
According to the filmmakers, That They May Be One traces key moments of spiritual awakening throughout church history, from Pentecost and the Azusa Street Revival to the Catholic charismatic renewal movement that emerged in the twentieth century.
The film presents these movements not simply as historical events, but as part of an ongoing story of God drawing believers together through the work of the Holy Spirit.
"That They May Be One is a call for Christians everywhere to let our hearts beat with the heart of Christ," said Dr. Mary Healy.
Fathom Entertainment describes the project as more than a documentary, calling it an invitation for believers to rediscover spiritual renewal, unity, and the presence of God in a divided world.
With growing conversations surrounding revival and spiritual hunger across younger generations, the film arrives at a moment when many churches are increasingly reflecting on unity, discipleship, and the future of Christian witness.
Tickets for That They May Be One are available through participating theatres nationwide.
