A major national moment of prayer, worship, and reflection is set to take place this month as "Rededicate 250" gathers Americans from across the country on the historic National Mall in Washington, D.C..
Scheduled for May 17 at 8 AM ET, the event marks a significant lead-up to America's 250th anniversary, inviting participants to give thanks for the nation's past, pray for its future, and recommit to the vision of being "One Nation under God."
Among the newly announced speakers is Cissie Graham Lynch, a prominent voice in Christian ministry and the granddaughter of Billy Graham. Known for her passionate advocacy for faith and biblical values in the public square, Lynch's presence adds a strong spiritual emphasis to the gathering.
Also joining the lineup is Pete Hegseth, identified as Secretary of War for the initiative, bringing a perspective shaped by leadership, service, and national identity.
Headlining the event is GRAMMY-winning worship leader Chris Tomlin, whose music has become foundational in churches around the world. With more than 20 No. 1 hits and over 8 billion global streams, Tomlin is widely recognized for songs such as "How Great Is Our God" and "Holy Forever," helping define modern worship for a generation.
The gathering is part of the broader "America 250" initiative, which highlights the nation's founding documents and ideals. Vince Haley, director of the White House Domestic Policy Council and leader of the White House Task Force 250, described the effort as "an extraordinary initiative combining technology and storytelling" to help people engage with the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights.
Organizers are calling this a "once-in-a-lifetime moment", encouraging Americans from every state to attend or participate in spirit. The event aims to unify attendees in gratitude, prayer, and renewed commitment at a pivotal moment in the nation's history.
Those interested are encouraged to RSVP and be part of this historic gathering on the National Mall.
