The FIFA World Cup is coming to North America this summer, and Jelly Roll is already part of the soundtrack.

The official FIFA World Cup 2026 album rollout began with the release of "Lighter," a collaboration between Jelly Roll, Mexican singer Carin Leon, and Canadian producer Cirkut, released via Def Jam Recordings. The official music video dropped May 1, 2026, and is now streaming across all major platforms.

The track blends Jelly Roll's country roots with Carin Leon's regional Mexican influence, reflecting the shared cultural energy of the three host nations - Canada, Mexico, and the United States. It is the first of several songs that will make up the full FIFA World Cup 2026 official album, with more artists from across the globe still to be announced.

The 2026 World Cup will be held across all three host countries, with matches running from June 11 to July 19 in 11 U.S. cities, three Mexican cities, and two Canadian cities, with the final at the New York New Jersey Stadium.

For fans who have followed Jelly Roll's journey - from his three Grammy wins in February to his well-documented faith testimony on one of music's biggest stages - seeing him chosen to represent his country on a global platform like this continues a remarkable run. The man who once held up a small Bible at the Grammys and said "Jesus is for everybody" is now carrying that same American voice into the world's most-watched sporting event.

"Lighter" is available now on Spotify, Apple Music, and all major streaming platforms. The full FIFA World Cup 2026 official album is expected to continue rolling out ahead of the tournament's June 11 kickoff.
