Behind some of the biggest moments in Christian music this year, there are women doing something even more sacred than performing - they are raising children, building families, and walking out their faith one ordinary day at a time. This Mother's Day, JubileeCast is celebrating three of the most remarkable women in CCM whose stories made headlines, touched hearts, and reminded the Church that the greatest ministry often happens at home.

Leah Cochren - Cochren & Co. The Miracle Eight Years in the Making

No CCM family story this year carries more weight than Leah Cochren's.

Leah and her husband Michael of Cochren & Co. spent eight years walking through infertility - praying, grieving, and holding on to a faith that was tested in the most personal way possible. When they finally announced their pregnancy in June 2025, Michael wrote: "After 8 years of praying, longing, weeping, pleading for what we knew could only be a miracle - God has blessed us with a baby on the way."

Then God added a detail nobody could have scripted. Baby Cochren arrived at 1:41 a.m. on January 1, 2026 - the very first baby born at Deaconess Women's Hospital in Indiana in the new year - weighing 8 pounds, 9.9 ounces. "All glory to God for this answer to our prayers," Michael said.

The band's debut album was titled Don't Lose Hope - three words that now read as a personal testimony from a mother who held on through eight years of waiting and finally got to hold her answer.

This is Leah Cochren's first Mother's Day. It is one worth celebrating.

Lorna Wells - Wife and Ministry Partner of Tauren Wells The Mother Who Helped Build a Church and an Album

Lorna Wells is mother to four sons - Kanaan, Lawson, Navy, and Banner - and has built her life alongside her husband Tauren as a co-pastor, worship school founder, writer, and speaker.

Today, Lorna serves as co-lead pastor at Church of Whitestone in Austin, Texas, alongside Tauren, and runs the "Alive and Wells" platform, where she writes and speaks about faith, marriage, identity, and motherhood. She is not a background figure in this story - she is a co-author of it.

Tauren's brand-new album Breathe On It, released May 1, 2026, was directly inspired by his work at Church of Whitestone - a church he and Lorna planted together. Every song on that project carries the fingerprints of a family that built something for God together.

This Mother's Day, Lorna Wells is celebrating not just four sons - but a full life of ministry, music, and motherhood lived side by side with one of Christian music's most influential voices.

Brittany Lake - Wife of Brandon Lake The Quiet Anchor Behind the Biggest Name in CCM

Brittany Lake has been married to Brandon Lake since 2011 and together they have four children - sons Beau, Blaise, and Banner, and daughter Georgia.

While Brandon has risen to become one of the defining voices in contemporary Christian worship, Brittany has built her own platform with over 200,000 Instagram followers, sharing family-centered content rooted in faith. The couple co-wrote a children's book together, and their farmhouse lifestyle and openly Christian family life have made them one of the most admired couples in the CCM community.

Brandon's single "Hard Fought Hallelujah" has now spent over 47 weeks at No. 1 on the Hot Christian Songs chart in 2026 - making it the longest-running No. 1 in the chart's recent history. Behind every one of those weeks is a mother holding her family together while her husband leads the Church in worship.

Brittany Lake does not sing on the charts. But she is very much part of the song.

This Mother's Day, the women of Christian music remind us of what the Church has always known - that the most enduring ministry is not always the loudest. Sometimes it is the quietest, the most patient, and the most faithful. It looks like eight years of waiting. It looks like raising four boys while co-pastoring a church. It looks like holding a family steady while the world streams your husband's music a billion times.

To every mother in Christian music, and every mother in the pew - Happy Mother's Day.
