Patrick Mayberry dropped a new single called "Anybody Else" - and he's already calling it one of the most personal songs of his career.
The Dove Award-nominated worship singer and songwriter, best known for his Billboard-charting hits "Lead On Good Shepherd" and "Holy Spirit Come," released the track this week and announced on Facebook that it's only the beginning. A full EP is set to drop on June 12.
"'Anybody Else' is one of the most special songs I've ever written," Mayberry wrote. "And it's just the START?!"
Mayberry, a Tennessee-based worship leader signed to Centricity Music, has built a reputation for songs that hold both honesty and faith in the same breath. His 2023 debut album Wild Faith earned him a K-LOVE Fan Award nomination and introduced his music to a wider audience through tours alongside Phil Wickham, Elevation Worship, Crowder, and Cory Asbury.
He has also written for Passion, Mack Brock, and Chris Renzema, making him one of the more quietly influential songwriters in the CCM space.
No tracklist or title for the June EP has been announced yet, but if Mayberry's excitement is any indication, the project has been a long time coming. Pre-saves are available now - drop a comment on his Facebook post for the link.
For those familiar with his music, "Anybody Else" is worth the listen. For those who aren't, this may be the right moment to start.
