Two Moms, One Tour: American Idol Winner Hannah Harper and Lauren Alaina Are Hitting the Road Together This Fall

Hannah Harper put it best herself - "two mommas, a bunch of babies, and a whole lotta miles ahead."

On May 26, Lauren Alaina announced her new headlining fall run, The Stages Tour, and named Harper as one of her opening acts alongside Shane Profitt and Ashley Kutcher.

For Harper, the Season 24 American Idol winner who auditioned as a stay-at-home mom from Willow Springs, Missouri, sharing a tour with one of country music's most beloved artists is the kind of moment that does not feel real until the poster drops.

The mom connection makes this pairing feel personal. Harper, 25, captured the country with "String Cheese," an original song she wrote about the daily, unglamorous, sacred work of raising children.

Alaina, now 31, welcomed her first child, daughter Beni Doll Arnold, in June 2025 - and has since said that becoming a mother gave her a confidence she never had before, describing everything else in her career as simply a bonus. 

Two artists. Two different seasons of motherhood. One tour this fall.

Harper will open on select October dates, with shared stops in Springfield, Missouri, Little Rock, Arkansas, Columbia, Missouri, Lexington, Kentucky, and Cleveland, Ohio.

This comes on top of Harper's own String Cheese Tour, already announced and running through mid-November. 

Before the touring season begins, Harper has a Grand Ole Opry debut on June 2, followed by a performance with fellow Idol alumni in Nashville for CMA Fest weekend on June 3.

Lauren Alaina herself was the runner-up on Season 10 of American Idol back in 2011 - making this reunion of Idol alumni, separated by fifteen years and a whole lot of life, feel like something that was always supposed to happen. 

Harper wrote earlier this year that no matter the song or the stage, her goal remains to encourage, to uplift, and to point people upward. Tickets for most Stages Tour dates go on sale Friday, May 29, at 10 AM local time.
