If you've heard "Stargazing" somewhere and couldn't get it out of your head, you're not alone - and now the man behind it finally has a full album to go with it.
British folk-pop singer-songwriter Myles Smith, best known for his 2024 global hit "Stargazing," released his debut album My Mess, My Heart, My Life on June 19.
It's a record that goes well beyond the breezy optimism that made him famous.
Smith resisted pressure to rush an album out after "Stargazing" took off, asking himself: "Why would I put out an album if I don't have an album's worth of things to talk about?" The patience shows.
Across the 15 tracks, he covers romance, depression, and barnstorming energy - committing to each emotion fully - and sets himself apart from his peers with a willingness to sit with confusion rather than wrap things up neatly. "My mission statement is to write songs that don't necessarily end with a pretty bow," he told Rolling Stone UK.
The album includes a track called "Mary's Song," another called "Heaven," and a collaboration with Niall Horan on "Drive Safe." A major arena tour follows in November 2026 across the UK and Ireland, with North American dates also planned.
The upbeat soul of "Stargazing" - built on the idea that your person is out there, looking up at the same stars - became the biggest British single of 2024.
The debut album is the answer to everything that came after that moment: who he really is, told in his own words.
For fans of music that is honest about the hard parts of life while still reaching for something higher - this one is worth a listen.
My Mess, My Heart, My Life is streaming now on all major platforms.
