Could Olivia Rodrigo and Stevie Nicks be about to deliver one of the most unforgettable musical moments of the year?
The Grammy-winning pop superstar has fans buzzing after teasing a possible duet with the Fleetwood Mac legend at her newly announced Daisy Chain Fields festival, while also revealing the heartfelt story behind the event's whimsical name.
During an interview with Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America, Rodrigo opened up about finally bringing her long-held dream of creating an all-women music festival to life.
"When I pictured this festival, I had an image in my head of girls sitting underneath a tree, like, making little daisy chains or flower crowns or friendship bracelets," she explained. "I also just like the idea of a daisy chain, how we can all be individual links in this chain that is larger than the individual."
But it was Sawyer's question about Stevie Nicks that really got fans talking.
After Sawyer suggested she'd love to see Rodrigo and Nicks perform Fleetwood Mac's iconic ballad "Landslide" together, Rodrigo smiled and teased, "We might make that happen for you, Diane. We'll see. Can't give too much away."
That single comment has already sparked speculation that the August festival could feature a once-in-a-lifetime collaboration between the 23-year-old pop sensation and the legendary singer-songwriter.
The lineup certainly makes such a surprise possible. Daisy Chain Fields will take place on August 29 at Great Park in Irvine, California, featuring an all-female lineup that includes Stevie Nicks, Chappell Roan, Doechii, KATSEYE, Mitski, Karen O, Bikini Kill, Garbage, Rachel Chinouriri, Santigold, The Breeders and several other acclaimed artists, with Sarah McLachlan also appearing as a special guest.
Rodrigo revealed that McLachlan-the founder of the groundbreaking Lilith Fair-was actually the first person she called after deciding to launch the festival.
"She's a total trailblazer and an incredible artist and friend," Rodrigo said, crediting Lilith Fair as a major inspiration behind the event.
The singer has described Daisy Chain Fields as a project she's dreamed about "for years," adding that the festival's all-women lineup is made up of many of her personal heroes and close friends. She also announced that 100 percent of the festival's net proceeds will benefit organizations dedicated to supporting women and girls, including the National Women's Law Center, Planned Parenthood, and the Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health.
Whether the Stevie Nicks duet actually happens remains one of the festival's biggest mysteries-but Rodrigo's playful tease has already given fans plenty of reason to start counting down to August.
