Country music legend Charlie Daniels is making a remarkable return to screens-six years after his passing-through a newly released AI-generated music video for his long-lost patriotic anthem, "My Home."
Created by Charlie Daniels' son, Charlie Daniels Jr., the video uses artificial intelligence to bring the Country Music Hall of Famer back into the spotlight, placing him amid stirring Fourth of July celebrations, waving flags, fireworks, and scenes honoring America. What began as a simple lyric video quickly evolved into a full-fledged visual tribute after Daniels Jr. taught himself to use an AI-powered video platform.

"I originally just wanted a lyric video for the song," Daniels Jr. shared. "I was learning completely on the fly... What started as a basic slideshow with lyrics suddenly became a full-fledged music video. When I saw what it could do, my mind was blown."
The release accompanies "My Home," a previously unreleased Charlie Daniels Band recording that was finally issued commercially on June 17. Originally recorded in 2014 for a Macy's Fourth of July television special, the song remained in the vault for more than a decade before Daniels Jr. rediscovered it in 2025. After tracking down the master recording and working with songwriters Bill Schermerhorn and Doug Katsaros, the patriotic anthem has finally reached fans.
Packed with Charlie Daniels' signature blend of country, Southern rock, and fiery fiddle playing, "My Home" celebrates faith, freedom, and love of country-hallmarks that defined much of Daniels' legendary career.
The AI video is just one highlight in what has become a major celebration of Daniels' enduring legacy. As the music icon would have turned 90 this October, his estate has planned a series of commemorative projects throughout 2026, including the Legend of Charlie Daniels concert at Fort Campbell on July 4 featuring a Charlie Daniels Band hologram performance, along with appearances by Aaron Tippin, The Frontmen, and Eric Lee Beddingfield. A new Best of the Charlie Daniels Band Volunteer Jam compilation is also scheduled for release later this summer.
For longtime fans, the AI-powered tribute offers an emotional opportunity to see Charlie Daniels "perform" once again while introducing a forgotten patriotic song to a new generation.
