Meghan Markle will travel to the United Kingdom this week alongside Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, joining Prince Harry during the Birmingham leg of his UK visit - though Meghan is not expected to attend any public engagements herself, according to multiple royal outlets.
The update reverses earlier reporting from last week, when a dispute over police protection led Harry's team to confirm the family would not travel together for the London portion of his trip. Harry has since been assured adequate security will be provided for the family during the Birmingham stretch of the visit, which centers on the one-year countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games.
While in Birmingham, Harry is scheduled to visit the National Exhibition Centre for the Invictus countdown launch and stop by Birmingham Children's Hospital, where he serves as a patron for WellChild. It will mark Archie and Lilibet's first trip to the UK since their appearance at Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022. It is not yet confirmed whether King Charles, who has not seen his grandchildren in person since that visit, will have the opportunity to meet with them.
The five-day visit, which began July 7 and concludes July 11, has been closely watched as a possible step toward healing the rift within the royal family. For a family that has spent years working toward reconciliation, even a quiet visit - with no headlines from inside palace walls - can be its own kind of answered prayer.
