Danny Gokey has released his new single "Jesus Over Everything," now streaming on all platforms with the official music video live on YouTube.
Announcing the release, Gokey wrote: "I will trust in Your higher ways!" adding that both the song and video were now available everywhere.
In a statement about the song's origin, Gokey said it came from reflecting on the full arc of his life - its "mountaintops and valleys," seasons of both joy and loss. Despite performing on some of music's biggest stages, he said none of it compares to knowing Jesus. "The applause fades, accomplishments pass, and recognition is fleeting, but Jesus remains," Gokey shared, adding that he hopes to be remembered not for his accomplishments, but for a life centered on his faith.
Gokey pointed to Philippians 3:7-8 as a touchstone for the song's message, reflecting the Apostle Paul's words on counting all worldly gain as loss compared to knowing Christ.
The single follows Gokey's recent signing with Red Street Records and continues a catalog that includes multiple No. 1 Christian radio hits and two chart-topping albums, "Hope in Front of Me" and "Rise." The American Idol alum has built a career centered consistently on faith-driven songwriting since first breaking through nearly two decades ago.
"Jesus Over Everything" is available now on Spotify, Apple Music, and all major streaming platforms, with the music video streaming on Gokey's YouTube channel.
