Bodie Releases New Single "Sellout," Doubling Down on Faith Over Image

Christian artist bodie has released a bold new single, "Sellout," out now on all platforms.

The song leans into a theme bodie has built much of his recent work around: staying true to his faith regardless of who's watching or what it costs him creatively. Rather than treating the word "sellout" as an insult, the track reframes it as something bodie says he's willing to be labeled - so long as it means never faking what he believes. The song's cover art drives the message home visually, showing bodie lounging upside-down in an empty grocery aisle wearing a branded "Sellout" cap, a wink at commercialism and image that plays against the song's deeper point about identity and conviction.

The release continues a fast-moving stretch for the 32-year-old singer-songwriter, born Bodie Kuljian, who first gained wide attention as the runner-up on Season 22 of "The Voice" in 2022 after performing a gospel number that hinted at where his career was headed. He signed with Christian label Provident in 2024 and has since become one of the more visible voices pushing to revive interest in Christian indie and alternative music, including through his work building the Lovesick festival.

Bodie has been open about not initially setting out to be labeled a "Christian artist," instead easing into faith-forward music after years of writing in more mainstream, secular-facing spaces. That journey - including his years as a worship leader and songwriting instructor at Vanguard University - has shaped a catalog defined by unfiltered honesty about doubt, identity, and belief.

With "Sellout," bodie isn't backing away from that tension - he's naming it directly, and daring listeners to do the same in their own lives.
