Pastor JP Pokluda believes something extraordinary is unfolding on Forrest Frank's massively popular The Jesus Generation Tour-and he's not afraid to call it exactly what he thinks it is: a revival.
Speaking backstage during the tour's stop in Cincinnati, Ohio, Pokluda said the overwhelming response to the gospel each night has convinced him that God is moving in a powerful and unprecedented way across America through the chart-topping Christian artist's concerts.
"I don't care what you call it, but I'm going to call it a revival," Pokluda declared, insisting the spiritual momentum sweeping through the tour is far more than a passing trend.
Pokluda, who serves as teaching and vision pastor at Harris Creek Baptist Church in Waco, Texas, has been traveling with Frank as the tour's evangelist, delivering gospel messages and inviting concertgoers to place their faith in Jesus.
The demanding schedule may include overnight bus rides, little sleep, and a new city every day, but Pokluda said the ministry impact has made every exhausting mile worthwhile.
According to the pastor, some nights have seen as many as 5,000 people respond to invitations to follow Christ, numbers he says surpass anything he has witnessed in decades of ministry.
Even after participating in major revival gatherings such as the Asbury Revival, Passion Conference, and more than 20 Unite US evangelistic events, Pokluda admitted the response on Forrest Frank's tour has left him stunned.
"I've seen thousands," he explained. "But 5,000-and then it's night after night after night. It's just unbelievable."
Pokluda also credited Forrest Frank himself as one of the driving forces behind the tour's unique atmosphere, describing the singer as someone marked by humility and spiritual authenticity.
"Especially Forrest, he's just so pure in heart," Pokluda said, adding that the entire tour team spends time daily in prayer, Bible reading, and intentionally sharing the gospel wherever they travel-including conversations with Uber drivers, hotel staff, and strangers they encounter along the way.
The pastor believes the movement connects directly to other recent spiritual awakenings among young people, pointing to the Asbury Revival and the growing Unite US gatherings as evidence that God is drawing a new generation to Himself.
One moment that especially impacted Pokluda came when Forrest Frank challenged audiences by asking, "Who here wants to waste their life for Jesus?" Watching thousands of hands rise in response convinced him that a generation is embracing wholehearted faith.
For Pokluda, the evidence is unmistakable.
"We're in a revival," he said. "I don't mince words with that."
