British singer-songwriter and worship leader Elle Limebear has reached a major career milestone, earning her first Official UK No. 1 as her latest single, "Give Me Joy," topped the Official UK Christian & Gospel Singles Chart.
Released on July 24 as her debut single with Decca Records, "Give Me Joy" has quickly gained momentum beyond the Christian music audience. The song also climbed to No. 2 on the UK iTunes All Genres Songs Chart, alongside some of today's biggest mainstream artists, and debuted at No. 6 on the UK Singles Download Chart.
Inspired by the beloved British hymn "Oil In My Lamp," the song reimagines the familiar chorus with fresh verses and melodies while pointing listeners toward the hope found in Christ. It first became a favorite during Limebear's live worship gatherings before its official release.
