Travis Kelce is officially a married man - and apparently, his wedding to Taylor Swift was every bit as spectacular as fans imagined.
The Kansas City Chiefs superstar finally broke his silence about tying the knot with Swift, giving reporters at Chiefs training camp on Wednesday, August 12, his first public comments about the couple's lavish July 3 wedding.
And Kelce certainly wasn't playing it cool.
"It was a fun offseason, man! Wedding was the best night of my life," Kelce gushed, thanking everyone who helped the newlyweds celebrate. He described the evening as "crazy" and packed with celebration before attempting to steer reporters back toward his day job.
"But it's football, baby," he declared.
Nice try, Travis.
Reporters naturally wanted more - particularly about the couple's jaw-dropping choice of wedding venue: Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Kelce admitted that getting married inside the legendary arena allowed him to fulfill a childhood dream in a way he probably never imagined.
"It's kind of cool to be able to live out my childhood dream of being in that venue, the mecca of all sports venues, being able to get married in there," he said.
Kelce called the wedding "perfect" and thanked Madison Square Garden's owners for helping the couple pull off a private event despite marrying at one of the most famous venues on the planet.
And what stood out to the NFL star amid all that glamour?
Apparently, the air conditioning.
"And the AC was cooking, baby!" Kelce joked. "That was the best part!"
Of course, keeping a Taylor Swift wedding private was always going to be a challenge - especially when the guest list reportedly included some of the biggest names in entertainment.
According to details that have emerged since the July 3 ceremony, longtime Swift friend Adam Sandler officiated the wedding, while Swift's brother Austin served as her man of honor and Travis' brother Jason Kelce took on best-man duties. The bride and groom reportedly wore custom Christian Dior Haute Couture.
Then there was the entertainment.
Paul McCartney and Stevie Nicks reportedly performed during the celebrations, turning an already extraordinary celebrity wedding into something resembling a once-in-a-lifetime private concert. Nicks reportedly even caught the bouquet.
Guests have also spilled details about raffles and extravagant luxury gifts, but the newlyweds themselves have remained remarkably tight-lipped.
Neither Swift nor Kelce has released official wedding photographs, and Swift has yet to publicly open up about married life. That makes Kelce's brief training-camp confession the most personal glimpse yet into how the groom felt about the massive celebration.
For a man preparing to return to the considerably less romantic surroundings of an NFL locker room, Kelce couldn't hide just how much the night meant to him.
