One of the wildest stories to come out of a Morgan Wallen concert this year just took a very serious turn.
The man accused of urinating all over a family during Wallen's Baltimore concert has reportedly been arrested - and now he's facing multiple criminal charges.
According to TMZ, Jayson Reed, 33, was arrested in Wilson County, North Carolina, following an investigation into the jaw-dropping incident that allegedly unfolded during Wallen's July 18 concert at M&T Bank Stadium.
And police apparently aren't treating this as merely a case of someone behaving badly at a concert.
Reed reportedly faces four counts of second-degree assault, public urination and additional related offenses stemming from the incident. He is reportedly being held in North Carolina while awaiting extradition to Maryland.
The controversy erupted after Troy Grevelding claimed he was enjoying Wallen's show with his family when he and his wife suddenly felt liquid hitting their legs.
When Grevelding turned around, he claims he discovered a man standing behind them with his pants down - allegedly urinating directly into their seating area.
Even worse, Grevelding said several members of his family were hit, including his 8-year-old niece.
Grevelding said he confronted the man and pushed him away, but claimed the stranger appeared remarkably unfazed by what had just happened, allegedly responding with words to the effect of, "It's OK, brother."
Needless to say, the family did not think it was OK.
The situation became even more controversial after questions emerged about how security and authorities initially handled the incident. Police said officers originally responded to what was reported as a fight and escorted the alleged offender from the stadium.
But that wasn't the end of it.
Investigators later learned about the family's allegations, interviewed additional witnesses and eventually identified a suspect. An arrest warrant followed, culminating in Reed's arrest in North Carolina.
Grevelding has also suggested the man appeared intoxicated and may have wandered back into the wrong seating area before the alleged incident.
The family has meanwhile indicated it wants answers over how the episode was handled at the stadium, particularly given that a child was allegedly among those affected.
What began as an almost unbelievable concert horror story has therefore turned into something considerably more serious. With four assault counts now reportedly on the table, Reed could soon be heading back to Maryland to face the allegations in court.
Morgan Wallen himself has not been accused of any wrongdoing in connection with the incident.
Reed is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
