Anne Hathaway was officially inducted as a Disney Legend on Sunday, August 16, becoming one of eleven honorees in the 2026 class at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim, California - a milestone that arrived 25 years after her Disney debut in "The Princess Diaries."

Hathaway grew visibly emotional as she took the stage, introduced by her "Devil Wears Prada" director David Frankel and Vogue editor Anna Wintour. "I am here today because I'm one of the most insanely lucky people in the world," she told the crowd, pointing out her parents in the audience. "How lucky am I that I was born into a family where acting, storytelling and imagination were valued and celebrated."

Her husband, Adam Shulman, and their two sons, Jonathan, 10, and Jack, 6, joined her for the honor - a rare public appearance for the couple's children, who are typically kept out of the spotlight. Hathaway, who is expecting her third child with Shulman, wore a flowing gown that highlighted her pregnancy on the red carpet ahead of the ceremony.

Hathaway joins fellow honorees Bob Iger, Dwayne Johnson, the Jonas Brothers, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Alan Tudyk, Jerry Bruckheimer, Chris Berman, Eric Goldberg, Kim Irvine, and Susan Egan in this year's class, bringing the all-time total of Disney Legends to 329 since the honor began in 1987.
