CalledOut Music Releases New Album The Room, Blending Afro-Gospel, R&B and Worship

British-Nigerian gospel artist CalledOut Music has officially released his new album, The Room, bringing together Afro-gospel, R&B, contemporary sounds and faith-filled storytelling across a seven-track project.

Released August 21, The Room is now available on streaming platforms worldwide. The album represents a significant new chapter for CalledOut Music, whose real name is Samuel Nwachukwu, following his move to the United States.

The project was recorded live at Gnome Studios in Nashville, where CalledOut Music worked alongside musicians gathered in the same room to create and capture the songs in real time. That approach gives The Room an organic quality, emphasizing musical connection, spontaneity and the energy of musicians creating together.

Rather than positioning the album as a traditional worship project, CalledOut Music uses The Room as a broader creative space where his musical influences and Christian faith meet. The songs draw from his Nigerian heritage, British upbringing, childhood memories, community and experiences of celebration, while maintaining the modern sound that has become central to his artistry.

"The Room is probably the most honest representation of who I am as an artist," CalledOut Music says.

The seven-track album opens with "Everything and More" and "What A Life," followed by "Have My Yes," "Yes (Interlude)," "So Real," "He Knows My Name" and "Your Love For Me."

Several songs bring an explicitly worshipful dimension to the project. "He Knows My Name" and "Your Love For Me" center on faith and God's love, while "So Real" carries a joyful and vibrant sound that reflects the album's celebratory character.

The album follows previously released music that introduced listeners to the creative direction of The Room. In July, CalledOut Music released "What A Life," describing the song as a celebration of gratitude, joy and the gift of life. The track also previewed the project's blend of Afro-gospel, R&B and contemporary influences.

"Everything and More," released earlier in the album campaign, similarly established the project's genre-crossing approach, combining Afro-Soul, R&B, pop and gospel influences.

Following the release of The Room, CalledOut Music is also scheduled to join Pat Barrett for select U.S. tour dates, extending the album's new musical chapter into live performances.

A New Chapter for CalledOut Music

CalledOut Music has built his career by bringing together gospel, soul, Afrobeats and contemporary music while creating songs centered on faith, identity and purpose.

Born in Nigeria and raised in Hampshire, England, Nwachukwu began developing his musical abilities as a child after receiving a keyboard from his father. By his teenage years, he was leading worship and directing music in UK churches.

He launched his solo career in 2016 with "Working on Me," followed by his debut EP The Collection in 2018. His 2019 song "Love Around" brought additional recognition and earned him a Premier Gospel Award for Best Video.

In 2020, CalledOut Music won the MOBO Award for Best Gospel Act, further establishing him as one of the notable voices in the UK gospel scene. His 2022 album My Beautiful Reality featured collaborations with artists including Guvna B, Samm Henshaw and IMRSQD.

In 2025, CalledOut Music signed with Integrity Music, beginning another stage in his career and expanding his reach within the international Christian music community.

With The Room, he now turns the page toward a sound that is both deeply personal and expansive-drawing from the music that shaped him while creating something designed to feel immediate, communal and alive.

The album is available now on streaming platforms.
