Country-gospel duo Band Reeves is beginning a new chapter with the release of its debut Centricity Music album, How To Forgive, available now on streaming and digital platforms.
Brothers Jeramy and Cody Reeves officially released the 12-track project on August 21, bringing together country storytelling, acoustic-driven arrangements, close harmonies and faith-centered themes drawn from their own experiences as husbands, fathers and sons.
The Palestine, Texas-based brothers built How To Forgive around the idea of choosing grace over guilt and humility over pride. Rather than presenting faith as something distant or abstract, the songs explore forgiveness, family, redemption, hard work and the everyday challenges of following Jesus.

A Personal Album About Faith, Family and Redemption
Throughout How To Forgive, Band Reeves draws from stories that are deeply connected to their family and upbringing.
One of the album's most personal songs is "Big Shoes," which reflects on the brothers' father, a bivocational minister who influenced their understanding of faith, marriage, fatherhood and hard work.
Cody Reeves describes his father as the example of the kind of husband and father he hopes to become, while the song celebrates the legacy that was passed down through their family.
"That Old Man" looks further back into that family history, addressing a difficult generational legacy marked by addiction and the eventual decision of their grandfather to follow Jesus.
For the brothers, the song carries a message of breaking destructive cycles and recognizing that a person's family history does not have to determine their future.
The album's title track, "How To Forgive," similarly focuses on the difficult but transformative process of extending grace.
"Hold On To Jesus" Closes the Album
The album concludes with "Hold On To Jesus," a song Band Reeves co-wrote with David Leonard and Molly Kate Kestner.
The closing track captures the brothers' perspective on taking faith one step at a time, particularly during seasons when the future is uncertain.
Jeramy Reeves explains that believers are not necessarily called to have every detail of tomorrow figured out, but to remain faithful in saying yes to God today.
That message provides a fitting conclusion to an album built around surrender, perseverance and the lessons found through real-life experiences.
12 Songs Make Up How To Forgive
Band Reeves' debut Centricity Music album features 12 songs:
- "If I Didn't Have You"
- "How To Forgive"
- "My Country"
- "Outrun You"
- "Devil Drive"
- "Jesus Won't"
- "That Old Man"
- "What Free Feels Like"
- "Love You To Death"

The project also includes several collaborations and songwriting partnerships. "Devil Drive," for example, was co-written by Jeramy and Cody Reeves with country artist Walker Hayes and songwriter Kyle Williams.
The song was inspired by the story of a friend who received a prison sentence, with the brothers using the experience to explore mercy, forgiveness and the possibility of redemption.
Other highlights include "If I Didn't Have You," the harmony-driven "Outrun You," "My Country" and "Front Porch Church," a song focused on beginning the day grounded in God's Word.

Band Reeves Brings Country Storytelling to Christian Music
Jeramy and Cody Reeves grew up in Palestine, Texas, as preacher's kids, where their family life and rural upbringing helped shape the musical identity they have developed today.
Their music combines country influences with Gospel themes, drawing from experiences with family, faith, work, struggle and redemption.
Before signing with Centricity Music, the brothers developed their audience independently through songs rooted in everyday life and their Christian faith. Their approach has helped them connect with listeners who appreciate music that does not shy away from real struggles while still pointing toward hope.
With How To Forgive, Band Reeves takes that approach into its first full-length release with Centricity Music.
The album is ultimately a collection of stories about learning to extend grace, remain faithful and trust God through the complicated realities of life.
As Band Reeves continues its growing touring schedule, How To Forgive gives audiences a deeper look at the brothers behind the music-and the faith that continues to shape their story.
