Faith-based folk pop singer/songwriter Kate Stanford has released "Right Next To Me" to Christian radio, a Christian AC track built around a message of belonging and grace even amid disagreement.
Written by Stanford alongside Karin Simmons and Dan Macal, and produced by Kevin Embleton, the song grew out of Stanford's own experience with exclusion. "It is a reminder to listeners that no matter our differences, there is a seat at God's table for everyone, and there is always a seat open, right next to me," she said.
The chorus captures that invitation directly, picturing a table "big and wide" where two people can belong even when they don't see eye to eye - a call to let God's love bridge differences rather than deepen them.
Stanford, originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, started singing at age six and released her debut EP, Bloom, at 17. Her song "I'm a Believer" appeared on the Palau the Movie soundtrack. Now based in Nashville, she's earned placements on Spotify's "All New Christian & Gospel" and "Faith and Folk" playlists.
She's also built real traction at radio: her previous single, "Rise," debuted at No. 1 on the Christian Radio Chart (CRC) Weekly chart and later topped the CRC Monthly and Quarterly charts as well. Stanford has performed at Soulfest, SonRise, Lifest, and Kingdom Bound, and has opened on tour for Seph Schlueter and Jaci Velasquez.
