Tim McGraw took an unexpected tumble onstage during his Thursday night concert in Cincinnati - and he's already laughing about it.
The 59-year-old country star was performing his 1995 hit "I Like It, I Love It" at Riverbend Music Center when the heel of his cowboy boot caught on a gap in the stage flooring, sending him falling backward in front of the crowd. McGraw popped back up within seconds, walked over to the spot, and joked to fans, "There's a hole there," before finishing the song without missing a beat.
The fall came after a rocky start to the night - McGraw arrived onstage around 9:40 p.m., roughly 40 minutes behind schedule, telling the crowd, "I made it!" He later apologized for the delay, attributing it to travel and weather.
McGraw addressed the moment himself on Instagram Friday, sharing video of the fall alongside a lighthearted caption: "Cincinnati, you started our weekend off on the right foot even if I couldn't stay on mine. We appreciate you coming out and singing along! Detroit, you're up!"
The Cincinnati stop, part of McGraw's Pawn Shop Guitar Tour, fell just two days after Dolly Parton's death, and many fans in the crowd showed up wearing Dolly T-shirts in tribute. McGraw had shared his own farewell to Parton earlier that week, writing that "she was the blueprint" for entertainers who came after her.
The tour continues through Michigan this weekend before wrapping in West Palm Beach at the end of September.
