Olivia Rodrigo's first-ever Daisy Chain Fields festival delivered on both fronts: a stacked, women-led lineup and a headline-making fundraising total.
The inaugural event took place Saturday, August 29, at Great Park in Irvine, California, inspired by Sarah McLachlan's 1990s Lilith Fair - a festival Rodrigo has cited as a career influence and the reason McLachlan was the first artist she called when planning the event. Every artist on the bill waived their performance fee.

Before the night was over, Rodrigo announced the festival had raised $10 million, crediting ticket buyers, sponsors, and artists alike. Philanthropist Melinda French Gates then joined her onstage in a surprise appearance to double that total, bringing the final number to $20 million.
"Olivia Rodrigo is a force," French Gates said in a statement following the announcement.
