Country singer-songwriter ERNEST is stepping away from the stage. The 34-year-old, who has been the supporting act on Ella Langley's Dandelion Tour, announced on Friday, Aug. 28 that he's taking a break to focus on his health.
"Hey y'all. The road has been dragging me down in a bad way. From mental to physical health," ERNEST wrote in an Instagram Story posted over a plain black backdrop. "I am going away for a couple of weeks to get myself and my priorities back in order."
ERNEST had been on the road with Langley since the tour's second leg kicked off Aug. 20 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, alongside Laci Kaye Booth. He was originally scheduled to remain on the trek through Sept. 12, but confirmed he won't be at Langley's upcoming Auburn, Alabama dates.
He was quick to thank the tour headliner before signing off. "I want to thank Ella for having me out on tour and wishing her the BEST in Auburn tonight and the rest of the tour," he wrote. "I look forward to coming back better and stronger. I owe it to myself and those affected by my actions. That starts now."
