Queen Camilla Sets Feud With Prince Harry Aside: For One Reason: King Charles

Queen Camilla is reportedly putting her long history of tension with Prince Harry aside - not out of newfound closeness, but out of loyalty to King Charles III as he pushes to rebuild ties with his youngest son.

Royal experts told Fox News Digital that Camilla supports Charles's desire to reconnect with Harry, Meghan Markle, and their children, Archie and Lilibet, following the family's return to the UK on Aug. 26. The children are set to begin school in Britain this September.

According to royal biographer Tom Bower, Camilla extended what InStyle described as "an olive branch" at a private Highgrove House meeting - greeting Harry with a "fixed smile" and offering him tea. A source told Bower the exchange was "polite, with no recrimination."

Royal historian Catherine Mayer told People magazine that Camilla's role is essential to any lasting peace: "She is a non-negotiable part of Charles's life. There is no reconciliation with him without her."

Not every account agrees. Author Andrew Lownie told the Daily Mail that Camilla has grown closer to Catherine, Princess of Wales, and may be encouraging Charles toward firmer boundaries rather than a full reconciliation with Harry.

What experts do agree on: Camilla's focus is Charles, who continues cancer treatment and has expressed a desire to spend time with his grandchildren.
