More than seven months after Nancy Guthrie vanished from her Catalina Foothills home in Tucson, Arizona, a new video has pulled the case back into the spotlight - though investigators say it has not produced a confirmed break in the case.
YouTube investigator Jonathan Lee Riches, who runs the channel JLR Investigates and has closely followed the case from Tucson, posted footage September 1 appearing to show lights on inside Nancy's home at night. "Who in the heck is in Nancy's home?" Riches asked in the video, though he acknowledged the lights could simply be on a timer.
The clip quickly fueled online speculation that Nancy's daughter, Annie Guthrie, and her husband, Tommaso Cioni, may have returned to stay at the property, following separate reports that the couple was back in the Tucson area. However, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos has previously confirmed that Nancy's children and their spouses were cleared as possible suspects early in the investigation - meaning the video offers no new evidence tying them, or anyone else, to her disappearance.
Nancy's friend Lauren Serpa has asked online followers to respect the family's privacy as they try to resume some sense of normal life. The FBI continues to seek tips, doorbell footage, and other digital evidence connected to the case.
As the search stretches into its eighth month, the Guthrie family and their church community continue leaning on prayer, with supporters online still asking followers to keep Nancy and her loved ones lifted up as the investigation continues.
