Barbara Eden, the beloved star of I Dream of Jeannie, was forced to cancel her in-person appearance at the Cinecon Classic Film Festival in Los Angeles this past weekend after experiencing a sudden illness, festival organizers announced.

Eden, 95, had been scheduled to accept the Cinecon Legacy Award on Saturday, September 5, following a screening of her 1961 film All Hands on Deck. Hours before the event, Cinecon shared an update on Facebook: "We're sorry to share that, due to a sudden illness, Barbara Eden will no longer be able to appear in person at Cinecon tonight. Barbara is deeply regretful that she had to cancel at the last minute, as she had been very much looking forward to seeing everyone and celebrating with us."

No further details about her condition have been disclosed. Her All Hands on Deck and The Yellow Canary co-star, Pat Boone, stepped in to accept the award on her behalf and stayed afterward to sign autographs for fans.

Organizers closed their statement with well wishes: "We appreciate your understanding and join you in sending her our best wishes for a speedy recovery."

The cancellation comes less than two weeks after Eden celebrated her 95th birthday on August 23. Fans on social media echoed the festival's sentiment, with many noting how active Eden has remained well into her 90s.
