‘Pawn Stars’ Rick Harrison Home After Routine Heart Procedure Took Terrifying Turn

Pawn Stars favourite Rick Harrison is back home after a supposedly routine hospital visit unexpectedly turned into emergency heart surgery.

Harrison, 61, was discharged from the hospital on Monday, September 7, only days after undergoing bypass surgery. "Today, Rick was discharged from the hospital and is now resting at home. By all accounts, he's now doing great," a spokesperson for the Harrison family told TMZ.

The frightening ordeal reportedly began when the reality television star entered the hospital for what was expected to be a routine stent procedure. However, doctors discovered a much more serious problem and determined that Harrison required bypass surgery instead.

Fortunately, his family says the famous Las Vegas pawnbroker is now recovering well. His wife, Agripina "Angie" Polushkin, and other family members remained by his side throughout the medical emergency. Harrison also expressed his gratitude to the doctors and hospital staff responsible for his care.

The health scare comes during an emotional new chapter for Harrison. He married Angie in January at Las Vegas' Little White Wedding Chapel, with an Elvis Presley impersonator officiating, before celebrating again in Cancún. Harrison previously described himself as happier than ever after finding love again following several painful years, including the death of his son Adam from an accidental fentanyl overdose in 2024 and the death of his mother, Joanne, in 2025.

Harrison has been the unmistakable face of Pawn Stars since the History Channel series premiered in 2009. What began as a show about the curious treasures brought into his family's Gold & Silver Pawn Shop transformed him into one of reality television's most recognisable personalities.

For now, however, Harrison's most valuable acquisition is undoubtedly a second chance-and this is one deal he will not be negotiating.
